The PS5 Disc Drive Is Back In Stock At Amazon

The PS5 Disc Drive add-on is finally back in stock at Amazon. The accessory has been difficult to find in stock since it launched last year, so it’s probably worth grabbing one while it’s still available. The PS5 Disc Drive costs $80, and Amazon offers free shipping on all orders. Just note that it has an estimated shipping time of two to four weeks.

The PS5 Disc Drive is an optional accessory for the PS5 Slim Digital and PS5 Pro models that allows you to play and install physical PS5 and PS4 game discs and watch Blu-rays. This is the perfect add-on for anyone who got a new PS5 Slim Digital or PS5 Pro over the holidays and needs a way to play their physical game library. Note that the PS5 Disc Drive does not work with the original, non-slim versions of the console.

Other online retailers also carry the PS5 Pro, but it is currently sold out at Best Buy and Target. GameStop has stock, but it’s only available for GameStop Pro members, while some units are still available at Walmart from third-party sellers at higher-than-usual prices–meaning Amazon is your best option for now.

It’s worth noting the PS5 Pro is still in stock and available from multiple online retailers, and now is a great time to pick up the console alongside the PS5 Disc Drive add-on. You can pick up the PS5 Pro for its usual $700 price at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and GameStop. It’s currently sold out at Target, but considering the availability at other stores, it’s likely Target could restock soon.

The PS5 Slim Disc Edition and Digital Edition consoles are also available online. You can grab the limited PS5 Slim Fortnite Cobalt Star Disc Edition for $424 (was $500), or the standard PS5 Slim Disc Edition for $500. The standard PS5 Slim Digital Edition is available for $450.
