First debuting in 1991, Bone was a quirky, fantasy comic book series that followed the bizarre Bone cousins as they trekked out on dozens of wild adventures. It ran for 55 issues until its end in 2004, and it remains a cult classic to this day. If you’re looking to dive into the series in 2025, multiple versions of the Bone: One Volume Compendium are steeply discounted online, giving you a comprehensive way to relive the hilarious quests.

Hardcover and paperback editions of the Bone: One Volume Compendium are on sale. While both compile all nine mainline volumes of the comic series into large 1,300-page volumes, they offer two different reading experiences. If you want to read the original full-color comics, you’ll want to grab the hardcover edition that’s on sale for $97 (was $150). The paperback version is more affordable at $34 (was $45), but printed in black-and-white. Note that these compendiums do not include any of the prequels or companion books.
Bone follows three cousins–Fone Bone, Phoney Bone, and Smiley Bone–after they’re run out of Boneville. However, the trio is separated during their journey, and they’ll have to fight against the odds to reunite. It’s an epic (and hilarious) comic series, and an easy recommendation at this new low price point.
Prefer to pick up individual volumes? You’ll have plenty of options. In fact, paperback volumes are quite cheap, and you can pick up the entire series in color for less than $80 total.
