If you’re interested in improving the ergonomics of the Nintendo Switch and celebrate your love of The Legend of Zelda, you’ll want to check out this deal on the Hori Split Pad Pro at Amazon and Best Buy. The Tears of the Kingdom-themed version of Hori’s great Joy-Con alternative is discounted to $42, down from $60. $42 (was $60)
Hori’s Split Pad Pro substantially improves the ergonomics of the Switch in handheld mode by offering more conventional handles, larger buttons, triggers, and joysticks, and a proper D-pad. It also has a pair of remappable back triggers. The Hori Split Pad Pro is GameSpot’s current pick for best Switch controller for handheld-focused players. It lacks rumble, motion controls, and NFC support for Amiibo, though, and you can only use it in handheld mode.
Best Buy also has the light gray/yellow Split Pad Compact on clearance for $40 (was $50). The Split Pad Compact is, as it sounds, a smaller version of the Split Pad, but it still improves the Switch’s ergonomics.
If you like the form factor of Nintendo’s Joy-Con controllers but wish the left Joy-Con had a normal D-pad, Hori’s Zelda-themed D-pad Controller, which replaces the left Joy-Con, is available for $28 at Amazon.
For a conventional controller for docked play, check out the the Horipad Bluetooth Controller for only $37 (was $60). The carbon black controller features Ocarina of Time Link as well as symbols such as the Hylian Crest and landscape art of Hyrule. The Horipad is officially licensed, and unlike many third-party controllers, it has a full motion motion controls.

Tears of the Kingdom players who haven’t picked up the official strategy guide can snag a copy of the hardcover Collector’s Edition for only $23 (was $45) at Amazon. You can also save big on the hardcover guide for its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, and get Dark Horse’s Zelda lore and art books for up to 50% off. The deals include The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia for only $20.49.
