GTA 5 makes its debut on PC Game Pass this month, featuring the Enhanced Edition for the first time.

Grand Theft Auto 5 will arrive on PC Game Pass later this month in its new Enhanced edition.

Back in February, Rockstar released the free GTA 5 Enhanced upgrade for PC players that brings the game in-line with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, including improved graphics options and faster loading times.

When it arrives on PC Game Pass on 15th April, it will be the first time the game has been available on the subscription service for PC players.

The game will also return to Xbox Game Pass for console players – it’s been included in the past but hasn’t stayed on Game Pass continuously.

GTA 5 will join other games announced for Game Pass this April, including day one titles South of Midnight, Commandos: Origins and Blue Prince.

When GTA 5 Enhanced released on PC, it brought in a healthy number of players. However, it received a mixed rating on Steam due to issues transferring accounts and disappointment with its performance.

The addition to Game Pass of course comes ahead of GTA 6, which is expected to launch later this year.

Take-Two Interactive boss Strauss Zelnick recently told Bloomberg the exact release date of GTA 6 is remaining a secret for now to “maintain the anticipation and excitement”.

“We do have competitors who will describe their release schedule for years in advance, and we found that the better thing to do is to provide marketing materials relatively close to the release window in order to create that excitement on the one hand, and balance the excitement with unmet anticipation,” he said.

“I don’t always get it exactly right, but that’s what we’re trying to do.”
