How to unlock the Fishing Rod in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Hello Kitty Island Adventure awards you with the Fishing Rod when you complete the “Keep it Reel” quest. To unlock the “Keep It Reel” quest, you need to reach Friendship Level Three with the mischievous penguin Badtz-maru.

The easiest way to level up your friendship with Badtz-Maru early on in the game is to collect the rubber lying around the Seaside Resort area and to use those materials to craft water balloons to gift him. Once you have some items to give to him, you can find Badtz-Maru at the southwest dock in the Seaside Resort region near the Resort Docks waypoint.
