GeForce RTX 4090 might be yesterday’s flagship, but it’s still faster than nearly every GPU on the planet—unless you’ve somehow tracked down an RTX 5090 at MSRP, in which case, congratulations on your black-market wizardry. For everyone else, Alienware currently has the cleanest way to get a 4090 system right now without jumping through flaming eBay hoops.

Alienware Aurora R16 is available in two RTX 4090 configurations. The base model runs $2,999.99 and includes the Intel Core Ultra 7 265F, a GeForce RTX 4090, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and 1TB of SSD storage. That’s plenty of horsepower for 4K gaming with every setting cranked—and unlike GPU-only listings, it actually comes in a whole, functioning PC.

If you want a little more overhead, there’s the upgraded version for $3,599.99. It swaps in the more powerful Intel Core i9-14900KF, bumps the RAM to 64GB, and doubles the storage to 2TB. Is the extra $600 worth it? Depends on how much multitasking or memory-hungry workloads you plan to throw at it, but for most gamers, the base config will more than hold its own.

Both machines are built into the Aurora R16 chassis, which includes a 240mm liquid cooler, 1,000W Platinum PSU, and a solid airflow design that doesn’t sound like it’s prepping for takeoff. You’re also getting full modern connectivity: USB Type-C, 2.5Gb Ethernet, and HDMI for all your high-res display needs.

If you’re wondering why this matters—well, the RTX 4090 has been officially discontinued, and it’s getting harder to find by the week. Most big-box manufacturers have already cycled it out in favor of the newer (and somehow less available) 50-series GPUs. But if you care more about actual performance than playing musical chairs with stock alerts, the 4090 is still the high-end card to beat.
