After several teases, the remake of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 has officially been confirmed. It will be launching for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Switch on July 11, and in addition to a standard edition of the game, there’ll also be deluxe and collector’s editions that offer three days early access. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 will also be a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass.

Developed by Iron Galaxy, the remake will feature all of the skate parks from the original games, as well as a brand-new one called Waterpark. All of the skaters from THPS 3 and 4 will be back, and new faces include Yuto Horigome, Rayssa Leal, Jamie Foy, Chloe Covell, and Zion Wright. Iron Galaxy says that the Create-A-Skater and Create-A-Park modes have been expanded.

As for the soundtrack, the playlist hasn’t been confirmed yet but the trailer does use Ace of Spades by Motorhead and Amoeba by Adolescents–two songs that were originally used in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3.

Tony Hawk 3+4 preorders are now live.

Rumors regarding a remaster or remake of THPS 3 and 4 have been circulating for a while–even after the remake was reportedly rejected so that developer Vicarious Visions could focus on more Call of Duty content–but last month saw a flurry of activity related to the franchise. Pro skater Tyshawn Jones said that he was going to be in a new remastered Tony Hawk game, and not long after, Call of Duty’s new Season 2 Reloaded update hinted at a THPS reveal in its Grind map.

The remake was all but confirmed after the official THPS website posted a countdown and Tony Hawk himself appeared online to tease the new game. For fans of the franchise, it has been a long wait for these new remakes to arrive, as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 was first released in 2020.

No other THPS games have been released since then, but Hawk did assure fans in 2024 that the franchise would continue to skate on. Meanwhile, THPS rival Skate is also due to make a comeback, with the revival being developed by Vancouver-based studio Full Circle. There’s no release date for it yet, but sign-ups for a beta recently went live.
