A new month has arrived, which means a new slate of events to look forward to in Pokemon Go. The mobile game is continuing its Might and Mastery season with a host of activities and Pokemon debuts in April, including the arrival of Paldean Tauros, Mega Audino, and Gigantamax Snorlax.
There are also new raid bosses and Spotlight Pokemon to catch this month, including the rarely seen Ultra Beasts Blacephalon and Stakataka, as well as another chance to get the mythical Pokemon Marshadow. Here’s a roundup of all the biggest events happening in Pokemon Go in April 2025.
April Raid Schedule
Pokemon Go is shaking up its raid rotation once again in April.
The island guardian Tapu Lele is returning to five-star raids until April 9, after which it will be replaced by the Ultra Beasts Blacephalon and Stakataka in the Western and Eastern Hemispheres, respectively. Finally, the legendary Pokemon Cresselia will return to close out the month.
Mega Raids, meanwhile, will rotate through Mega Blaziken, Mega Sceptile, and Mega Mawile, while Shadow Registeel will appear in Shadow Raids every weekend this month. A new batch of Dynamax Pokemon will also appear in Max Battles over the next few weeks.

April Spotlight Hours
Pokemon Go is hosting more Spotlight Hour events in April, with a new selection of featured Pokemon and bonuses to look forward to this month.
Every Tuesday evening from 6-7 PM local time, one particular species of Pokemon will appear in the wild more frequently than usual, making this a good opportunity to fill out your Pokedex and stock up on candy. You’ll also earn an extra bonus during that hour, such as double XP or Stardust for catching Pokemon.

Stunning Styles

Pokemon Go is kicking April off with a Stunning Styles event from April 3-7.
As part of the event, the next leg of this season’s Might and Mastery Special Research story will be available, with rewards like Kubfu Candy and Golden Razz Berries awaiting players who complete its different tasks.
Another free Special Research story called A Striking Shadow will also be available during the event. Players who complete the story will earn various rewards, including a chance to catch the mythical Pokemon Marshadow.
On top of that, all three variants of Paldean Tauros (Combat Breed, Blaze Breed, and Aqua Breed) will make their Pokemon Go debut. They’ll be appearing in the wild and in raids alongside other Pokemon that have different forms, such as Castform, Burmy, and Shellos.

Mega Audino Raid Day

Audino’s Mega-Evolved form is making its debut this month during a Mega Audino Raid Day on April 5.
From 2-5 PM local time, Mega Audino will appear in Gyms as a Mega Raid boss. Additionally, you’ll have an increased chance of encountering a shiny Audino from these raids, and it’ll be able to learn a new move: the Charged Attack Moonblast.
As another bonus, Pokemon Go will temporarily increase the number of Remote Raid Passes you can hold to 20, and you’ll be able to earn five extra free Raid Passes when you spin the Photo Disc at Gyms. The game will also offer a free Timed Research questline during the event.
Tyrogue Hatch Day


Following Mega Audino Raid Day, Pokemon Go is hosting a Tyrogue Hatch Day event on April 6.
Throughout the event, the fighting Pokemon Tyrogue will be hatching from 2 km eggs more frequently than usual. Not only that, but you’ll have increased odds of hatching a shiny Tyrogue as well.
In addition, there will be free and paid Timed Research tasks to complete during the event. A few in-game bonuses will also be available, including double candy for hatching Pokemon and increased odds of getting 2 km eggs from PokeStops.
Spring Into Spring


Pokemon Go is celebrating the changing of seasons with a Spring into Spring event from April 9-14.
As part of the event, the grass Pokemon Gossifleur and its evolved form, Eldegoss, will be available for the first time in Pokemon Go. On top of that, various grass, water, and fire Pokemon will appear in the wild more frequently on different days of the event.
In addition to the featured Pokemon, there will be event-themed Research tasks and Collection Challenges to complete. The game will also offer a few bonuses, including double candy for hatching eggs and increased odds of encountering shiny versions of Remoraid and Fletchling.

Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day


Gigantamax Snorlax is making its Pokemon Go debut as part of a Max Battle Day on April 19.
Sweet Discoveries
A new event called Sweet Discoveries is set for April 24-29. More details about the event will be announced later this month.
Dynamax Entei Max Battle Weekend
Pokemon Go is hosting another Max Battle Weekend this month, this time featuring the legendary Pokemon Entei. The event is scheduled to run April 26-27.


Pokemon Go is rounding out the month with its April Community Day event, which takes place on Sunday, April 27.
This month’s featured Pokemon is the ice type Vanillite. From 2-5 PM local time, the ice Pokemon will appear in the wild much more frequently than usual, and you’ll have increased odds of encountering a shiny Vanillite.
The event also marks an opportunity to learn an exclusive move. Until May 4, any Vanillish that you’re able to evolve into Vanilluxe will learn the Charged Attack Avalanche upon evolving. Avalanche boasts 90 power in PVP battles and 85 power in gym/raid battles.
On top of that, there will be an assortment of themed Field and Timed Research tasks to complete during the event, as well as a handful of bonuses to take advantage of. Lure Modules and Incense that you use will last for three hours, and you’ll earn triple XP and double candy for catching Pokemon. Trades will also cost 50 percent less Stardust.
