Originally released for Nintendo DS in 2008, Nintendo is reviving Story of Season: Grand Bazaar for Switch and PC. The remake was revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct, and it’s shaping up to be another relaxing outing for the farming/life simulator, thanks to reworked graphics, a new mode of transportation in the wind glider, and a cast of new characters and events. Preorders are now open ahead of its August 27 release.
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar Preorder Bonus
There are currently no preorder bonuses for Story of Seasons: Granda Bazaar. If anything changes (or any retailer-exclusives pop up), we’ll be sure to update this section.
$50 | Releases August 27
The standard edition of Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is reasonably priced at $50. Whether you’re a fan of the original or diving in for the first time, this is shaping up to be the best way to experience the farming action in 2025. Marvelous has already revealed a bunch of quality of life improvements coming to the Switch version, including improved graphics, an expanded story, a new glider for easier traversal, and full character voice work (which is a first for the series). Physical preorders of the Nintendo Switch version are available at Amazon and Best Buy. Digital preorders are also live on the Switch eShop and Steam.
$70 | Releases August 27
Upgrade to the Premium Edition to get a bunch of physical collectibles. Along with the base game, this includes:
- Original soundtrack
- 115+ page art book
- Sheep pocket plush
- Cloth poster
- Outer storage box
The massive art book looks like an excellent way to dive deeper into the game’s lore and development–though it’s the adorable sheep pocket plush that might truly make this worth the extra $20. Consider giving it a look if you’re a long-time fan.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma has a similar premium edition up for preorder, offering much of the same sort of content, including an art book and adorable plush. Consider preordering it ahead of its May 30 release, as it’d definitely look nice next to the Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar Premium Edition.
Story of Seasons is essentially the new name for Harvest Moon. When Marvelous decided to take over North American distribution responsibility from Natsume many years ago, the name had to be changed as Natsume still held the rights to the “Harvest Moon.” So if you’re an old fan of Harvest Moon trying to get back into its relaxing world, Story of Seasons is the name to look for.
A bunch of Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons games have launched over the past several years, and if you need something to bide time ahead of Grand Bazaar’s release, here’s a look at our favorites. We’ve also included a few Rune Factory games for good measure.
