The Lies of P expansion will take up to 20 hours to complete, but don’t expect it to be about the story tease at the end of the base game. Neowiz has confirmed that Lies of P: Overture will take between 15-20 hours to complete and will be integrated into the base game.
Speaking with Eurogamer, Lies of P director Choi Ji-won said that the Overture DLC will be available around chapter 9 in the base game, with the DLC and base game making the complete version of Lies of P. The content functions as a prequel to the story of the main game, but does include some new weapon types, like a bow, to offer a new experience for players who have completed Lies of P already. That said, anyone expecting more information on the wild story tease at the end of Lies of P will have to wait a bit longer.

Spoilers for the cutscene at the end of Lies of P below.
Speaking with IGN, Choi said that the cutscene isn’t related to the Overture DLC, but wouldn’t elaborate further beside saying, “Please stay tuned for additional announcements in the future.” For anyone who hasn’t rolled credits on Lies of P, the final cutscene teases the next potential public-domain universe for the series, with The Wizard of Oz setup, showing a young woman in ruby slippers. A sequel to Lies of P has already been announced, so it seems likely that this cutscene was setting up that next entry.
Choi also told Eurogamer that while he thinks Elden Ring Neightreign is “refreshing and new,” Neowiz is planning on keeping Lies of P as a single-player experience but may expand to multiplayer in other projects. Lies of P: Overture is currently set to release sometime in Summer 2025.
