Are you planning to get more hideout resources in Assassin’s Creed Shadows? The hideout acts as your main hub–your home away from home, so to speak. The buildings you construct there offer a variety of functions and utility effects. Our guide discusses how you can earn these materials so you can have the facilities that you need in the long run.
How to get more hideout resources in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Hideout resources are readily obtained through the following means:
- Looting regular chests.
- Picking up the items found in castles and bases.
- Completing contract side quests.
- Sending out your scouts to smuggle caches.
- Purchasing from the microtransactions store using Helix Credits.
Acquiring hideout resources as loot rewards
As you continue to explore feudal Japan, you’re bound to get more hideout resources in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. These come in the form of bushels of grain, planks of wood, and mineral ores.
Certain locations across the land also tend to have a lot of these resources. While roaming around, try to press and hold the aim button, which shows colored dots in your surroundings. The yellow/golden dots represent materials that you can collect.
We also suggest revisiting the Kakurega in your hideout at the start of each new season. The lit compartment in the building has contracts that you should tackle. These usually lead you to enemy occupied bases and outposts, and these areas have a bunch of materials for you to obtain.

Using scouts to smuggle resources
In some outposts and settlements, you might see a large pile of resources tucked away neatly in a corner. These stockpiles can be collected by your scouts, and the materials are earned once you transition to the next season. Note that the Assassin’s Creed Shadows hideout resources from stockpiles are affected by the Stables building in your hub:
- Level 1 Stables (default): Each stockpile can be collected by two scouts.
- Level 2 Stables: You only need one scout to collect each stockpile.
- Level 3 Stables: Scouts smuggle 20% more resources from stockpiles.

Should you buy resources from the microtransactions store?
Yes, it’s possible to acquire resources from the microtransactions store by spending Helix Credits. The Medium Hideout Resources Pack costs 1,000 Helix Credits, and it grants 150 minerals, 500 wood, and 700 crops. However, we don’t recommend buying this at all. Materials themselves are fairly easy to come by, and you don’t need to waste real money just to have these items.
That does it for our guide on how to get more hideout resources in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. While you’re gathering all sorts of items, you might want to know more about amassing mon/gold during our long treks.
