What games is everyone diving into this weekend? What’s on your gaming agenda for the weekend? Which games are you all enjoying this weekend? What’s everyone planning to play over the weekend? What’s on your weekend gaming playlist? What titles are you all tackling this weekend? Which games are you excited to play this weekend? What’s everyone’s weekend gaming lineup? What are you all planning to play this weekend? What games are you all picking up this weekend?

This weekend, readers, there’s an extra challenge for you. In addition to the excellent tales of game-playing and cat-contentedness we always get, I’d like anyone who’s interested in partaking to tell me: what’s the very best thing about that genre you don’t like? What is it that always draws you back in before you remember that these aren’t your sorts of games? For instance: Counter-Strike-style shooters. Clean, low time-to-kill gunplay: yes yes yes! Having to rely on belligerent teammates: no no no.

While you ponder, here’s what we’re all clicking on this weekend!

I might dilly and or dally through South By Midnight. But maybe I should neither dilly nor dally, because my review of it is past deadline. Oops.

This weekend I’ll be trying to get co-op working in Schedule 1, sampling free bizarro platformer Ena: Dream BBQ, and digging into a cool side-scroller I found on Itch, Aurascope. How’s that then? I think I’ve scored a solid 7/10 on the old hipster graph.

I’m departing on holiday this weekend, but I have loaded the Steam Deck with a handful of games before I go: 1000xResist, Mindcop, Ballionaire, Ender Magnolia: Bloom In The Mist, and Nine Sols. Will any of these puncture the fugue state of reading books and eating all-inclusive sausages I plan to enter into? No idea.

James
I’ve returned to Deathloop this week, partly because Atomfall reminded me a tiny bit of it, and partly because I watched a YouTube video of a downright balletic action-stealth kill rampage and thought “I could do that.” Reader, I could not do that.

Jeremy
I’ll be taking a trip down to Brighton with my wife and two dogs this weekend, so perhaps not much time for gaming. If there’s a chance to relax then perhaps I shall go back to Stardew Valley, since it’s that time of year when spring is about to come and my farm calls to me. Also, my marriage with Maru (my in-game wife) probably needs some attention.

Nic
Going to poke Battle Brothers to make stories come of it. Will probably poke Monster Hunter Wilds to make stories come out too, although those stories will invariably be “hit a monster until it died”.

Ollie
I’ve been really taking my time with my most recent Shapez 2 playthrough, but I’m nearing the final milestone now. I’d really like to stick with it this time for long enough to have a decent crack at creating a MAM (Make Anything Machine), which is essentially the endgame challenge of Shapez. I don’t know if I have the strength or time for that, but for now it remains a very soothing evening regular.

But you, reader dear, what are you playing this weekend?…
